I met Aimee & Thomas for the first time the week before their beautiful wedding to do their engagement session. Their wedding was beyond amazing and I cannot wait to share the photos on the blog next month, but their engagement session was just as stunning. Aimee & Thomas are a perfect pair – the love and compassion they have for each other shows in each photo. Their wedding day was bicycle themed so they organised a vintage bicycle for their engagement session to stick with this theme. Delta Park in Johannesburg with its lovely greenery and faint views of the city’s skyline was the perfect location for their session.

Here’s a short introduction to how their love story begun:

“We met at the end of 2007 outside an exam hall at the University of Johannesburg where we were both studying the same degree. We started spending time together during RAG festivities of early 2008 and after a weekend celebrating RAG in Potchefstroom started dating and we were pretty much inseparable after that. As Thomas’ Dad joked at the wedding I practically moved into their house and family straight away. We moved to London in 2010 after finishing our studies, and then due to a work relocation moved to Rotterdam in 2012. In February 2014 we planned a weekend stay in a cute, farm cabin in the East Sussex countryside. Thomas asked me to marry him while we had tea in bed. I said ‘yes’ even before he opened the ring box! We enjoyed a romantic weekend with winter walks in the forest and dinners by the fire to celebrate our engagement. We had discussed getting married for quite a while and as we wanted a short engagement we had already done some pre-planning before we announced our engagement.”
