Sarina & Samuel said their vows on the 22nd of June 2013, a sunny winter’s day, at the beautiful Shelanti Garden’s chapel in Centurion. Their wedding day started with a morning ceremony, an early reception and we ended the day off with the newlywed photo session. We just loved working with both of them, they are both such kind-hearted, friendly and interesting people – they make the perfect match!

Sarina, a radio presenter, and Samuel, a Strongman and film producer are both fitness lovers, so I just love that we managed to sneak into the gym at Blue Valley Golf Estate for some of the newlywed photos. You rarely see a bride and groom lifting weights on their wedding day! Their wedding day had so many unique and beautiful elements – from the cowboy and angel theme to the goldfish table centrepieces – but I couldn’t expect anything less from such an ambitious and driven duo :)

How did you meet?

Sarina: “He started following me on Twitter! I tweeted something about wanting to meet journalists, he replied and said he’d hook me up. Eventually we started chatting and he asked me to dinner. Dinner was like something from a chick flick – too good to be true, but I didn’t like him at first. I only agreed to go on a second date to tell him in person that I wasn’t interested… but he swept me off my feet and I fell head over heels. It was official as soon as I started following him back ;)”

How would you describe your wedding theme?

┬áSarina: “Our wedding theme, Cowboys and Angels, was inspired by two country songs – one by Dustin Lynch and the other by Garth Brooks with the same title. We both love country music and the lyrics seemed to summarise us as a couple. The Dustin Lynch song says ‘She’s sweet, I’m wild, we’re dangerous’, and that is exactly how we are as a couple. Our favourite lyric from the song would have to be ‘not sure why her path crossed mine, accident or grand design. Maybe God just kinda likes Cowboys and Angels’.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Sarina: “We had a breakfast wedding, which was really cool, because by 14:00 the wedding was done. We also decided to take photos after the ceremony, which meant that guests didn’t have to wait too long for the bridal couple before the ceremony started. This also gave us the opportunity to take our time with photos and try some fun shots with Gerhard and Iz.”

We really enjoyed being a part of their wedding day! Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Frauenstein! xx
